Status grammar
Also known as: Holding, Partial, Not holding, verdict
The publication's three-state vocabulary for every Holding claim: Holding (still supported by evidence), Partial (one substantive part revised, correction logged), Not holding (claim falsified or overtaken).
How this publication uses it
Strictly enforced site-wide. Never `active`, `broken`, `outdated`, `OK`, `mixed`, `failed`. The credibility scanner in lib/banned-phrases.ts flags off-vocabulary words. The same grammar applies when the publication's quarterly Slop Index scores other publications.
Etymology
Mapped to the conventional 5-point ClaimReview Rating scale (Holding=5, Partial=3, Not holding=1) for Google Fact Check schema compatibility.
