Terms of Use
Effective 1 Jun 2026. These terms govern your use of agentmodeai.com and the Agent Mode AI newsletter. By reading the site or subscribing, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
The site is operated by Agent Mode AI, the Netherlands (contact: peter@agentmodeai.com). Throughout these terms, “we” and “the publication” mean the operator; “you” means the reader.
1. What this site is
Agent Mode AI is a free-to-read editorial publication. It reports on, observes, and comments on developments in agentic AI for enterprise IT leaders and for smaller operators. There are no user accounts, no logins, no comments, and nothing to buy. The only thing you can submit is your email address, to subscribe to the newsletter.
2. Not professional advice
Everything on this site is editorial commentary and general information. It is not professional advice and you should not treat it as such. Nothing here is legal advice, financial or investment advice, tax advice, security advice, regulatory or compliance advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or use any specific product, vendor, or service.
The site discusses regulations (such as the EU AI Act and the GDPR), vendor products, pricing, and IT strategy. Those things change, and your situation is specific to you. Before you act on anything you read here, get advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances. Decisions you make after reading the site are your own.
3. How this site is written, and how to read its claims
Every article is written by Claude, an AI system, and is curated and signed by Peter, who sets the brief, selects the sources, and approves each piece before it is published. This is disclosed on every article and explained at /how-its-written/.
Because AI-assisted writing can be wrong, and because the subject matter moves quickly, the publication runs a public accountability system called Holding-up: each article asserts one primary claim, and that claim is reviewed on a 30–90 day rhythm and marked Holding, Partial, or Not holding over time. The ledger is at /holding/.
What this means for you:
- Articles are accurate to the best of our ability at the time of writing, from the sources cited. We do not warrant that any article is current, complete, or error-free.
- A claim's status can change after you read it. Check /holding/ for the current state of a claim before you rely on it.
- We correct openly. When something is wrong, we append a correction rather than quietly deleting it. We do not, however, promise that every article will be revisited or kept up to date.
4. Intellectual property and how you may use the content
The articles, the editorial frameworks (including GAUGE and MTTD-for-Agents), the site design, and the Agent Mode AI name and marks are owned by the operator, except for third-party material quoted under citation. The site's articles are AI-authored and curated; the editorial selection, arrangement, frameworks, and presentation are protected as a matter of the operator's rights and these terms, independently of how any individual sentence was produced.
You may:
- Read, link to, and share articles.
- Quote short, reasonable extracts for commentary, journalism, research, or internal discussion, with attribution to Agent Mode AI and a link to the original article.
You may not, without prior written permission:
- Republish a full article or a substantial part of one.
- Sell, sub-license, or commercially redistribute the content.
- Use the content, in bulk or by automated extraction, to train, fine-tune, or ground a machine-learning model. The site's stance on automated access is set out in its
robots.txtand is part of these terms. - Remove or alter attribution, bylines, or the AI-authorship disclosure.
- Use the Agent Mode AI name or marks in a way that implies endorsement or affiliation.
If you would like to reproduce more than a short extract, email peter@agentmodeai.com.
5. The newsletter
Subscription is opt-in. When you subscribe you ask us to send you the newsletter, and you consent to your email address being handled as described in the privacy policy. The newsletter is delivered through Beehiiv, a third-party provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the one-click link in every email, which removes your address from the sending list. We send only the newsletter and occasional notices about the publication; we do not sell or rent your address.
6. Acceptable use
The site is for reading. You agree not to:
- Attempt to access non-public areas (for example,
/admin), probe, scan, or test the security of the site, or bypass any access control. - Interfere with the site's normal operation, including by overloading it, scraping it abusively, or submitting the newsletter form in an automated or fraudulent way.
- Submit an email address you are not entitled to use, or impersonate another person.
- Use the site to break any applicable law.
7. Links to other sites
Articles cite and link to external sources, vendors, regulators, and other third parties. We link to sources as evidence and for your convenience. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement. When you leave this site, the other site's terms and privacy policy apply.
8. Availability
The site is provided free and “as is.” We do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it — including the newsletter — at any time.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site and the newsletter are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. This does not exclude any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under the mandatory law of the Netherlands or the EU, including, where it applies to you, mandatory consumer-protection law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or the newsletter — including any decision you make based on its content, any error or omission, any interruption, or any issue arising from a linked third-party site.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the mandatory law of the Netherlands or the EU — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for intent or deliberate recklessness, or for any matter where the law forbids limitation. Because the site is offered free of charge and to the maximum extent the law allows, no liability arises in any other case.
11. Governing law and venue
These terms, and any dispute arising from the site or the newsletter, are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes will be brought before the competent court of the Netherlands. If you use the site as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, nor of your right to bring proceedings where the law allows.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the site changes. The effective date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes are noted in the change list below. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Earlier versions remain accessible through the site's public git history, consistent with the publication's “nothing is quietly rewritten” practice.
